The View Inside is a collaboration between French guitarist/singer/songwriter Ludovic Briand, French keyboardist/songwriter Julien Boursin, and American engineer/lyricist Matt Rohr. The group’s first release is the concept album entitled The View Inside.
Based on an original story by Ludovic and Matt, the album employs sounds ranging from arena rock, to classic pop, to avant garde in a cinematic sweep as it unfolds the moving and dramatic tale of Walter, an orphan born with a strange oracular power, and the peculiar events that lead him toward his destiny.
Recorded meticulously in the south of France, Paris and Los Angeles over the course of three years, the project features heavyweight performances by an international group of iconic musicians including Simon Phillips, Vinnie Colaiuta, Gregg Bissonette and Levon Minassian; as well as rising stars like Nicolas Viccaro and Hadrien Feraud.
